Brassavola nodosa

 The first bloom of my Brassavola nodosa opened today.

This plant came from Hausermann in November of 2022. They said it would take 2 years to bloom, so it’s right on schedule.

In spring this year, the original pot was so overgrown that I repotted it and discovered that there were two unconnected rhizomes in the pot. I potted one with large bark, and mounted the other on cork.

It is the potted one that has made a bud and bloomed. As these plants mature, I’m hoping that they will be generous in their blooming.
